Here at school, all is well. We are more than grateful for how far we have come, thanks to your continued support.

Celebrating Our Graduates

In November, we celebrated the graduation of 79 sixth graders, 77 ninth graders, and 34 form four students. This achievement is a testament to their hard work over the years. They learned, endured, and did everything expected of them, despite the odds they faced. We are proud of how far they have come and appreciate your continued support.

Education & Term Update

We reopened school for the third and final term of this calendar year on 26th August 2025. A total of 867 students in primary school, 100 girls in high school, and 80 boys in our boys' school had a productive term that ended on 24th October 2025. The other students went on a long break, with the graduating students in grades 6, 9, and form 4 starting their national exams from 27th October to 21st November 2025.

This year, 190 students sat for the national exams. All went well during the exam period. The results will be released in December, and we will share them once received. For many children in Kibagare and the surrounding slums, our school is a sanctuary. It guarantees them learning, feeding, and a conducive environment to be children, away from the challenges they face in informal settlements. Most of them have no guarantees of schooling. Through your support, we ensure they graduate with dignity and honor.

School Feeding and the Weekend Feeding Program

Our daily feeding program and Saturday feeding initiative have continued throughout this term. With 867 children attending our school daily and over 1,300 participating in our weekend program, we have significantly reduced food-related diseases like malnutrition. This initiative prevents children from having to fend for themselves, which often leads them to the streets or causes them to miss school due to challenges at home.

Our school feeding program goes beyond just providing meals. It ensures that children do not have to choose between attending classes or looking for food. The consistency in support has been instrumental in achieving our goals for feeding the children in this community.

Looking Ahead to 2026 and Ongoing Initiatives

In the last week of November, we conducted interviews for children and their guardians wishing to join Pre Primary 1 and Grade 7 in 2026. Most attendees were eager for a chance to join our school, and we hope to welcome many new students when school reopens in January 2026. Our senior schools are also in the process of enrolling students for the upcoming academic year.

December is an ideal time for repairs in the school as we prepare for the next school calendar year. We are undertaking necessary repairs to ensure a conducive learning environment when we resume in a few weeks. We aim to maintain a well-kept facility for our students and staff.

The Impact of Your Support

We are immensely grateful for our sponsors and their support this term. They have made it possible for over 1,000 students and staff to learn, grow, and reach their milestones. Thanks to our sponsors and donors who play a vital role in ensuring that St. Martin's School meets its annual objective of educating the most needy in this community and beyond. Their support gives hope and instills the belief that, despite circumstances, there is always an opportunity to thrive.

We appreciate your continued support, and may you all have HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
