Earlier this year I was privileged to visit St Martin's School 🇰🇪 in the slum of Kibagare, and meet many of the community groups now transforming lives in the slum - this amazing water project was just one of many groups changing lives. Inspiring to see innovation in action..
The Water Project
There are so many incredible stories of micro-businesses in Kigabare Slum but this one from Sean Francis Wambua is truly inspirational. Communities creating the change the they want see. Innovation and Entrepreneurship.. changing lives.
In this project members of the community have created a business that is not only generating income but is radically improving the quality of water being used by the thousands of people in the Slum. At an affordable price.
They were supported with some seed capital to begin with and are already looking to expand! It just shows when innovative thinking meets small financial support amazing things happen. Across other project with small micro-finance initiatives many other groups are already transforming not only their own lives, but those of their families and the entire community, together.
